Each year thousands of people around the world take part in Movember.
For the 30 days in November, men have been seen sporting a moustache in aim of raising awareness and funds for men’s health, in particular depression in men and prostate cancer.
This year the locals at Breakfast Point have been doing their bit for men’s health and Movember.
The guys and girls at The Art of Hair in Market street, Breakfast Point have been wearing a moustache to show their support for the cause while their clients have donated generously.
Sadly, Prostate Cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in Australia and the second greatest cause of cancer deaths in men. 2010 statistics show that 3,300 men will die as a direct result of prostate cancer, (Australian Institute of health and Welfare).
In total, over 129,000 Australians have participated in Movember in 2010, raising more than $18 million dollars for this exceptional foundation.
