Did you know that for every five Indigenous kids living in remote communities only one will be able to read at the minimum standard?

That means 4 out of 5 Indigenous kids in remote communities don’t have the opportunity to gain the most important key to a successful and fulfilled life – the ability to read.

This shocking statistic is why Breakfast Point Realty is taking part in the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation’s Wall of Hands Indigenous Literacy Appeal.

As a major sponsor of the foundation, Breakfast Point Realty is asking you to raise a hand and help donate money for an outstanding cause.

According to ALNF, regular schooling isn’t always enough for Indigenous children in remote communities. Many have hearing difficulties and for many English is a second language.

The ALNF’s specialised program reaches out to Indigenous communities Australia-wide, to assist in working towards a brighter future and maximise opportunities for Indigenous children.

But with your help, ALNF can reach more kids around our country.

By sponsoring Breakfast Point Realty’s wall, you’ll be helping the ALNF to reach out to more children through their award-winning programs.

If ALNF reach the appeal target of $300,000, the ogranisation will be able to continue current literacy programs in Tennant Creek & Mungkarta and establish programs in two new remote communities.

If you donate as little as $5 you will be providing essential reading resources for a child in need.
