The Breakfast Point Country Club recently unveiled its new and improved kitchen, now known as The Point Café, and is serving up a delicious new menu for Breakfast Point residents and guests.

After undergoing renovations over summer, the kitchen boasts an 8-burner stove and significantly more bench space. The bar area has also been made larger, which is great news for those who love a cocktail at the Club’s Friday night drinks!

The Point Café serves hot lunches Wednesday to Sundays and with so many appetising choices on the menu, the vote on the top dish is still up for contention.

Breakfast Point resident Kim says her go-to dish is The Point Café’s Chicken Caesar Salad ($12.50) or the soup ($6) which changes every week. However she says her husband’s favourite is definitely the Breakfast Point Burger which is a grain fed rump burger with tomato, lettuce, beetroot relish, matured cheddar cheese and chutney ($10.50).

The chicken schnitzel on turkish ($10.50) or the gourmet steak sandwich ($12.50) are the top picks of Head Waitress Danielle. Other menu highlights include a Roast Winter Vegetable Salad and Fettuccini Boscaiola. Dessert choices include a creamy panacotta (another of Danielle’s favourites!) and a chocolate mousse. On Sundays the Club invites you to escape the winter cold and enjoy a delicious Sunday Roast inside.

A great selection of sandwiches and soups are available every day along with breakfast (8.00am-12.00pm) on the weekend. Freshly squeezed juices and smoothies are a popular choice.

Grinders Coffee will soon be on the menu and if you’re after something sweet to have with it, the Café’s freshly baked slices, brownies and muffins are the way to go.
